Art Stricklin has covered every professional and most major amateur golf tournaments in the state of Texas. He has covered both the Byron Nelson and Colonial PGA Tour events for the last quarter century, plus the Texas and Houston Open more than a decade. He has covered every Champions Tour event in the state along with the Nationwide and LPGA Lone Star tournaments.
On the national scene, he has achieved the domestic grand slam, covering the Masters, U.S. Open and PGA Championships on multiple occasions along with the U.S. Amateur, the Tour Championship and dozens of other professional golf events.

The current president of the Texas Golf Writers Association, he is a longtime contributor to Sports Illustrated and Golf Magazine and has written for such publications as varied as Texas Monthly, American Way, Golfweek, Avid Golfer, T&L Golf, Reuters, the PGA Tour Annual, R&A Yearbook and Annual plus the Chinese People Workers Daily, about Tiger Woods, of course.
Art Stricklin is the author of eight books, most recently the well-received, Links, Lore and Legends, the Story of Texas Golf.

When it comes to Lone Star golf, Art serves as the local publicity coordinator for the Texas Open and AT&T Championship along with the Masters.com website and the Byron Nelson program. He also works with his father’s company in Dallas, Marketplace Chaplains USA, as VP-Public Relations.
Art Stricklin is a very popular guest to discuss golf on both radio and TV. He has hosted his own television and radio shows and is a regular guest on both national and local shows to bring his unique insight to golf and many exciting travel destinations.
